TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER

With a team of highly-talented scientists and engineers, Universal Display engages in a variety of technology evaluation, development and technology transfer programs to accelerate the commercialization of our OLED technologies and use of our materials. Tailored for each relationship, our programs include initial technology evaluation as well as joint development and technical assistance programs. All are designed to support the smooth adoption of our technology and materials by customers who are licensees or prospective licensees.

Universal Display also engages in joint development programs with customers who are interested in developing customized solutions and/or accelerating their time to market. We provide a variety of technology transfer and assistance services that include technology transfer documentation and on-site training to support the design, manufacture and sale of their products using our technologies.

Currently, Universal Display is engaged in providing comprehensive technology development services to branches of the U.S. Government. For example, we are working with the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of Energy to develop state-of-the-art OLED technologies for next-generation flexible OLED displays and energy-efficient white OLED lighting, respectively. Our work in these areas help to advance state-of-the art technology solutions to meet the Government’s needs as well as those of future commercial markets.
