RECENT ADVANCES

Recent work at Universal Display has focused on meeting the Energy Star performance targets for white OLEDs for the US Department of Energy.  Based on using our record high-efficiency UniversalPHOLED™ technology and materials, we have made significant progress toward meeting these targets.  Much of our recent work has focused on transitioning our record-breaking results achieved at the lab-scale or “pixel” scale to a commercially-representative panel size. 

The following table illustrated recent advances demonstrated at the pixel and panel scales, in part, enabled by a new light-blue emitter system recently announced by the company.

WOLEDs are creating much excitement as performance continues to advance, in large part due to the key performance advantages of UniversalPHOLED technology and materials.
